The Kobido facial massage is a Japanese technique that combines kneading, rhythmic tapping, acupressure, and facial drainage to promote a more rested expression and a more vibrant appearance. At Sakura Polanco, we perform this manual facelift without the use of equipment, adjusting the intensity to suit the condition of your skin.

Kobido combines kneading, acupressure, brief tapping, and gliding movements applied in a rhythm that is attuned to the skin.
The various sequences are designed to address facial tension, promote superficial drainage, and provide a sense of well-being through a 100% manual approach.
At Sakura, we do not use abrupt movements or work at a fixed intensity. We observe how the face responds and gradually adjust our movements accordingly.
Technique matters; respect for the skin matters even more.
KOBIDO · KNEADING · ACUPRESSURE · DRAINAGEOver the course of 60 minutes, we combine an assessment, preparation, Japanese massage sequences, and a finishing technique tailored to your face.
We'll review your stress levels, sensitivity, recent routine, and the goals you'd like to address.
We begin with gentle movements to help the skin and muscles get used to the touch.
We use a series of kneading, acupressure, and controlled facial percussion techniques.
We finish with gentle facial drainage, soothing techniques, and aftercare recommendations.
The pace and pressure are adjusted throughout the experience, without making intensity a goal in itself.

Kobido alternates between movements of different speeds. Some movements are more rhythmic; others promote relaxation and drainage. The important thing is not to apply more pressure, but to find a manual technique that’s right for your skin.
Japanese skincare that feels like it's made just for you.
After a session, some people notice that their face looks more relaxed, has a more radiant appearance, and feels refreshed. The definition of the facial contours and the appearance of firmness may vary depending on skin condition, lifestyle habits, and individual response.
These effects do not amount to a permanent tissue lift. Whether to continue the treatment is determined based on each person's progress and preference.
Kobido is a manual beauty and wellness technique. It is not a substitute for dermatological, dental, or medical treatment, nor does it guarantee structural results.

Before we begin, we assess the current condition of your skin and what you hope to achieve with your facial treatment.
If you have an active skin condition or persistent pain, it is best to consult a healthcare professional before receiving a massage.
